I’ve discovered that being silly and playful is a very important part of life for me. And yesterday I had an opportunity to exercise my silly muscle playing in Lake St. Claire with my young nieces. It was a glorious warm, sunny day. My brother, his wife and two young daughters ( 5 & 7) met us with their boat and anchored next to us.
We played for hours swimming, pouring cold water on each other, throwing a football, ejecting each other off the rafts, pretending to be sharks and enjoying lunch. It was heaven and I’m sore today. It’s a good kind of sore, one that reminds me of the importance of play and laughter. (Of which I’m reminded every time I twist my torso or raise my arms above my head!!!)
Here’s something else I did recently that was silly. I used Yearbook Yourself to superimpose my face onto heads stylized from different fashion eras. What a hoot. Here are the results:
